She focuses on understanding how th emind and body are connected, especially when it comes to deal with difficult experiences like trauma. She is trained in different methods like Somatic Experiencing (SE), Somatic Resilience and Regulation (SRR) and Transforming Touch (TT). Joni uses Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Treatment (SMART) when working with children and their parents and will utilize therapeutic play when appropriate. She is particularly interested in trauma, anxiety , depression and parent-child relationships.
