1: Keep track of your intake

Mark a water bottle or download the app Daily Water Free or Carbodroid to your phone to help you keep track of the eight, 8-ounce glasses of water you should be drinking each day.

2: Add some natural flavor

If you’re looking to enhance the flavor of your drink, try adding slices of fruit or herbs. Raspberries, lemon, cucumber, ginger and mint are some good options if you don’t like the taste of water.

3: Sip between your routines

Incorporating a glass of water to existing habits like brushing your teeth, or before you go to the bathroom will help you remember and actually implement it. Make it a rule to drink a glass of water during meal time, too.

4: Keep it close

Whether you’re commuting to work or sitting at your desk, keep a filled water bottle nearby yoru desk so you’re constantly reminded to keep up with your water intake.

5: Use a straw

By drinking out of a straw, you’ll actually be drinking more water, and at a faster pace. You’ll be surprised at how much more water you’ll be drinking.
