To thank organizations that are helping support its mission, the Mankato Clinic Foundation has approved $13,465 in grants to seven deserving organizations within the area.
Receiving grants for quarter three are: St. Peter North Intermediate ($3,465), Twin Valley Council Boy Scouts of America ($1,000), Greater Mankato Young Life ($1,000), Arts Center of St. Peter ($1,000), Key City Bike ($5,000), Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial Elementary School ($1,000) and Women’s House of Hope ($1,000).
Mankato Clinic physicians provide the majority of the Foundation funding as a way to give back to the community by providing support to organizations which strive to improve health and wellness in the communities they serve. Since 2008, the Mankato Clinic Foundation has provided more than $1,217,240 in grants and scholarships to worthwhile organizations, programs and projects.
The seven organizations that received quarter three funding are living out the Foundation’s mission with the work they do and the Mankato Clinic Foundation is proud to support them.
Grants are awarded on a quarterly basis and are considered through an application process. More information and applications can be found at mankatoclinic.com/Mankato-clinic-foundation. The next grant application deadline is Sept. 1, 2016.
About the Mankato Clinic Foundation
A small, dedicated group of physicians started the Mankato Clinic Foundation in 1965, making it one of the oldest foundations in Minnesota. Since that time, the Foundation has expanded its reach by supporting community health events and offering educational health-related programs to the community. The foundation receives the majority of its funding from Mankato Clinic physicians, along with giving by Mankato Clinic staff and the greater Mankato community.
